What the New Rule Means
According to the UAE Attestation new rules, the following changes have been implemented:
- Applicable Documents: All Indian documents including Degree Certificates, Diploma Certificates, Marriage Certificates, Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, and Commercial Documents such as MOA (Memorandum of Association), AOA (Articles of Association), COI (Certificate of Incorporation), Board Resolutions must now follow this new process.
- Process in India: Only Notary + SDM (Sub Divisional Magistrate) + MEA (Ministry of External Affairs) attestation will be done in India before submission.
- Authorized Submission: Documents will then be submitted by an authorized agent to the UAE Embassy in India for UAE Attestation.
- UAE MOFA Attestation: After UAE Embassy Attestation, UAE MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) Attestation will also be completed from India itself.
- Digital Attestation Only: There will be no physical attestation going forward. All attestations will be done digitally in one go, and applicants can download the attested document directly from the UAE MOFA website.
